IN ONE WORD... EXCELLENT! In a few more words – Steve was excellent throughout, from the start to the finish of the work. He was down to earth and explained the various parts of the work (we had a complete refit of the kitchen). He arranged all the workmen needed to do the various parts of the work – electrician, plasterer, tiler, painter/decorator – and would contact them when they were needed. This meant we did not have the hassle of trying to co-ordinate the whole thing. With one of the other quotes we had from another company, they would have done the kitchen fitting, but we would have had to arrange the other work. Steve arranged it all. He gave us a realistic date for when he would be able to start the work and how long it would take. When it got nearer the time, he rang us to say that he would be delayed by two days in starting the job. We were grateful for his honesty, because in the past we have had workers who say they are starting on a particular date and then don’t turn up and we have to chase them up. His price was very competitive and he gave us the quote for all the various jobs (electrics, plastering etc.) So we knew before the work started what the rough cost of the whole project would be. The other workers he used were men he has used regularly so they are tried and tested. In the future, we would use any of them if we had any such work to do. As with all building work, there are delays for various reasons, but Steve explained to us the reasons for them. He is thorough and hard working; there is no slacking. The finish on the work is excellent. Photos of the work can be seen on Steve’s website. I would recommend Steve to anyone wishing to do either a new kitchen or bedroom. Steve Williams fitted my oak kitchen in June 2010. The job took five days to complete. Each day Steve arrived at 6.45am and left at 4.30pm, apart for the final day when he finished at 6.30pm.. To say that Steve is both conscientious and punctilious is an understatement! He appeared to carve very little time to enjoy coffee and lunch breaks and was never to be seen doing anything other than working! His ability to envisage the design and construction of a kitchen is outstanding. Steve possesses an innate excellence of hand-eye coordination which enables him to control the cutting and assembling of materials with consummate ease. In addition to his considerable prowess, Steve is an amiable, considerate and very likeable person. Some weeks after the kitchen was undertaken, I asked Steve to return to fit my utility room with cupboards and worktops - this he did with equal commitment and dedication. Anyone engaging the services of Steve Williams may expect to receive similar top class professionalism and I thoroughly recommend him with great enthusiasm!
