Nico van der Meulen Architects is one of my favorite design firms. They are an architectural studio based out of South Africa. Nico van der Meulen founded the company in 1984 along with his wife Santa. He also has three sons, of which two are accomplished architects that work alongside him. This gorgeous home was designed by Nico and his son Werner van der Meulen. This modern masterpiece is the Eccleston Drive Residence, which is located in Bryanston, Johannesberg, South Africa. The luxurious home is 15,000 square feet, and the interior was designed from M Square Lifestyle Design. The modern decor is simply gorgeous. The home is very spacious and open with an extensive use of glass. There are balconies attached to all lounges and suites. This architectural beauty also boosts a 59 foot infinity pool with oversized patios. The house is built on a slope, which helped the architects to create a spacious basement, with a home theater, wet bar, gym, and a wine cellar/tasting room. This home is spectacular, and it’s only one of the many homes designed by the amazingly talented design firm Nico van der Meulen Architects. Take a peak inside!
Obviously a very expensive endeavor, beautifully done. To each his own, but it looks a bit sterile and office-like to me.
